..his problem could be he's playing 2 much of the same type of games. all of the games he mention were in the shooter genre. portal is like a shooter but without killing... i havent played the game, tho im just basing it off what i heard, first person view with puzzles. try something that doesnt use any form of a gun like god of war. in simple words try a new game(folklore) or genre(eye of judgement)
